Respectful engagement with Traditional Owners

Our emphasis on the importance of cultural awareness and maintaining consistent engagement with the Traditional Owners was critical to the success of the project.

  • Respectful engagement with Traditional Owners to better understand and manage cultural differences
  • Award of ~$70m of contracts to local indigenous businesses
  • Engagement with Traditional Owners to arrange clearances prior to access or works
  • Regular ‘Welcome to Country’ ceremonies and cultural awareness training
