Executive General Manager - New Zealand & South Pacific
Bruce brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to support the growth and direction of Calibre. Bruce brings over 15 years of consultancy experience complemented by 30 years of industry experience in delivery services to predominantly local government clients across New Zealand. Bruce’s approach centres on building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients as well as the development and well-being of our people.
Head of Infrastructure
As Head of Infrastructure, Geoff empowers the Calibre New Zealand team to partner with our clients and make a meaningful difference in our communities. He is a passionate leader who takes a friendly, positive and collaborative approach to understanding client requirements. Geoff has over 13 years’ experience in infrastructure engineering design and construction monitoring in New Zealand and the Pacific. He has strong technical expertise in civil construction works, marine structures, civil structures, retaining walls and bridges, as well as seismic design and the seismic assessment of buildings. Geoff is experienced in managing projects on behalf of our clients and acting as Engineer to the Contract in accordance with NZS 3910.
Client Development & Marketing Leader
Sam is a collaborative and commercially focused leader who creates value by helping businesses grow through improved client experiences, brand perception and employee engagement. As Client Development and Marketing Leader, Sam develops and drives integrated client engagement and marketing strategies to help Calibre create positive and lasting impacts for its clients, markets and people. Sam supports the Calibre team in proactively engaging with our clients to better understand their needs and develop solutions designed to achieve their business goals.
Sam’s career has seen her work in Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand and her experience extends across all elements of the marketing and business development functions, including strategic planning; client engagement; branding; communications and public relations; bid management; digital strategy; and change management.
Sam is passionate about getting the best out of people and is a strong driver of diversity and inclusion strategies to ensure people feel accepted, valued and empowered to contribute.

In a career spanning New Zealand and Australia, Leisha has worked with organisations in a number of different sectors and specialises in business partnership roles. With her ‘down to earth’, people-focused approach, relationships are her focus. In creating solid and long-lasting relationships she is able to understand individual drivers and obstacles and create effective initiatives and solutions to engage and empower people to be productive, accountable and successful.
Head of Structures
A senior leader with over 16 years’ experience delivering successful projects in New Zealand and the United States, Eric brings exceptional drive, excellent communication skills and a “can-do” attitude to his role. In his role as Calibre New Zealand’s Head of Structures, Eric facilitates the delivery of structural engineering services across a range of structure types, empowering our staff and working alongside our industry partners. Eric’s diverse technical background extends across a multitude of structures ranging from single-storey residential/commercial structures to multi-storey buildings, critical large site retaining walls and various other types of support structures.
Head of Advisory
Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and decades of invaluable project delivery experience to his dual roles as Head of Advisory and Senior Project Director within Calibre’s Senior Leadership Team. Peter’s skillset encompasses all aspects of civil engineering and construction project delivery, including project management and leadership, planning, design, contract management and administration, asset management, business development, risk management, procurement, tender evaluation, contract negotiation and dispute resolution. He has particularly strong expertise in executive management and governance, providing technical oversight and mentoring within Calibre people as well as business advisory services to a variety of Calibre clients. Peter has provided inputs into an array of projects around New Zealand and overseas and specialises in the delivery of aid projects in the Pacific. He has been a shareholder and director of two consultancy businesses and is a member of Calibre’s Quality Committee. In addition, Peter holds Prince2 and IPENZ certifications, is an accredited Infratrain assessor for Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Tender Evaluation and is a qualified Tender Evaluator.
Senior Technical Director
A Senior Technical Director, Sean specialises in structural and civil engineering projects and is focused on the consistent delivery of technical excellence to Calibre clients around New Zealand. A member of our Senior Leadership Team with over 18 years’ experience, Sean works closely with several of our key clients in the assessment and design, project management, coordination and delivery of a wide range of structural and civil projects. Since 2010 Sean has been heavily involved in post-earthquake recovery work, including building safety and damage evaluations; seismic assessment and strengthening reporting; detailed strengthening and repair documentation; and construction/repair monitoring. During the more recent rebuild phase he has been managing and providing technical oversight into the design of new commercial, industrial and residential building structures in Canterbury and throughout New Zealand.
Sean’s technical expertise has been widely recognised across the sector. Industry recognition includes the base-isolated Christchurch Women’s Hospital Redevelopment, which was a Category Award Winner at the 2005 New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards; and the steel-framed Pacific Tower, Christchurch’s tallest building and winner of an ACENZ Award of Merit in 2010.
