In an ever-evolving market, the challenge facing bulk commodity companies is to streamline operations and increase throughput while minimising cost.
Within the resources, industrial and commercial sectors, we offer capability in the construction and maintenance of onshore and offshore port infrastructure as well as the broader supply chain.
Our teams work with clients from concept to completion, bringing together expertise in diverse and complex services to realise the most innovative solutions for port infrastructure.
Calibre’s technologies team delivers services and advice across a suite of technologies used within the port environments, from freight ports to large resource-based materials handling operations. We offer complete control system design and programming, optimisation works, interfacing transport systems to unloading facilities, access control and CCTV works.
One of the key projects that demonstrates this capability is Calibre’s Fremantle Ports Electronic Security Network Design. This involved providing Western Australia’s biggest trade hub with security upgrades, network design and project management services to enable a digital, fully integrated IP System in a live operational environment.
In New Zealand and the Pacific, Calibre has provided a range of non-mining related port and wharf facilities, working with local governments or aid agencies to provide transport and logistics solutions. This has ranged from projects such as carrying out borrow pit remediation on the island of Tuvalu, to replacing the Denarau Island bridge, on a small island in Fiji.
