Paid Parental Leave Launched across Calibre & Diona
On International Women’s Day, March 8, 2019, Calibre and Diona are proud to launch a new benefit for parents – Paid Parental leave.
Haley Lee, General Manager – People and Capability said that it’s the people that make both Calibre and Diona a success, so it made sense to introduce a new policy which supports our people and their families.
“Our new policy offers eligible employees six week’s paid leave for the primary care giver. We are also offering all eligible employees paid superannuation for up to six months to contribute towards covering the superannuation gap experienced by those that take time off for parental leave,” said Ms Lee.
“This is a step in the right direction to help address imbalances in superannuation and levelling the playing field.”
We recognise that both parents have an important role in welcoming a new child into their family, and to better acknowledge the role both parents play, an additional five days leave will also now be paid to the secondary care giver.
“We care for people’s well-being is one of our core values, and the ability to offer employees paid parental leave – as well as a superannuation top up upon returning to work, demonstrates that we care for people both inside and outside the workplace.”
Calibre and Diona’s policy is flexible, inclusive and open to all eligible employees welcoming a new child through childbirth, surrogacy or adoption.
