Calibre's Board Chair David O'Connor raises funds for batyr to support youth mental health

batyr’s 3 Peaks Challenge: Conquered!

Last weekend our Board Chair David O'Connor put his endurance to the test to support youth mental health by trekking three of NSW’s highest peaks – Mount Kosciuszko, Etheridge Ridge and Rams Head North.

The batyr team of supporters walked a combined total of 352,800 steps, and collectively raised over $30,000!

After conquering the climbs, David O’Connor said: “What a fantastic and unforgettable day! It was wonderful to share such a meaningful experience with an amazing group of people who literally went the extra mile for youth mental health.”

Not only did David stretch himself physically, but he also took on some quirky challenges for pledged donations. Watch the video to see him ‘floss like a boss’ (or at least try), do 20 push-ups and climb in a wig.

Well done to all participants on your inspiring achievement and thank you David for being such a great sport.
