Riverline Water & Wastewater Strategy
Haricot and Bellmere Land Holdings
Caboolture, Queensland, Australia
To support the proposed Riverline Estate development in Caboolture West, Calibre worked closely with the client to develop a water and wastewater service strategy capable of servicing the estate within its initial five-year development horizon.
Through undertaking water and wastewater network modeling our team determined that by optimising existing water and wastewater networks the capital investment required to service the residential development can be deferred. Our team also identified that the size of infrastructure initially designed for Unitywater was too large.
The strategy reduces the asset size for Unitywater, minimising risk of wastewater septicity and reducing capital costs. Overall, our findings have resulted in capital expenditure savings of approximately $30m which has assisted in the economic viability of the development.
Project highlights included:
- 490 detached lots across two sites
- Water and wastewater service strategy unlocked without need for catalyst infrastructure funding
- Planning of 3km pressure sewer mains, a sewer pump station, 480m water main and a water booster station
