Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal 2
Hay Point

In an ever-evolving market, the challenge facing bulk commodity companies is to streamline operations and increase throughput while minimising cost.

Within the resources, industrial and commercial sectors, we offer capability in the construction and maintenance of onshore and offshore port infrastructure as well as the broader supply chain.

Whether for in-loading, stockyard, outloading or marine assets, Calibre offers a life-of-project solution within the port environment, from construction and commissioning, through to long-term maintenance and optimisation, to final decommissioning and deconstruction.

Our teams work with clients from concept to completion, bringing together expertise in diverse and complex services to realise the most innovative solutions for port infrastructure. Our service offering encompasses all structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and manufacturing disciplines as well as marine structural integrity services.

Our technology division delivers services and advice across a suite of technologies used within the port environments, from freight ports to large resource-based materials handling operations. We offer complete control system design and programming, optimisation works, interfacing transport systems to unloading facilities, access control and CCTV works.

Proven expertise

Across Australia, our teams have helped to deliver multi-billion-dollar port projects providing extensive construction, maintenance, and operational support services. On the east coast, we have supported significant portions of the building and maintenance of four major coal export terminals: Hay Point, Dalrymple Bay, Abbot Point and Newcastle.

On the west coast, we have worked with major mining and industrial clients providing specialised marine structural integrity services, including wharf, jetty, dolphin, pontoon, and fender maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.

In New Zealand and the Pacific Calibre has provided a range of non-mining related port and wharf facilities, working with local governments or aid agencies to provide transport and logistics solutions.
