Celebrations in Bendigo

On Friday 10 November 2017 Calibre helped celebrate the announcement of restoration works on Bendigo’s historic tram network to be undertaken by Downer Infrastructure Services.

Arran Bollard, Calibre’s executive leader for cross sector development, and Nick Derera, Calibre’s Victorian leader for the transport and intermodal sector, joined City of Greater Bendigo and state government local dignitaries as well as local business leaders at the Bendigo Tramways Depot for the announcement.

During the event, the local and state government officials welcomed the growing relationship between Calibre and Downer and acknowledged the benefits to the Victorian regional community that will be delivered by the two companies coming together. Both the Council’s Mayor and state government senior officials welcomed Calibre and Downer, and acknowledged the way they are seeking to complement the local manufacturing and engineering sector and work alongside similar Bendigo businesses to create a long term legacy for the local community.
